Apparently, Mel Gibson had had more then one ocasion of going nuts..

It was in 1990 in a California bar he revealed a rather embarrassing shoe fetish. Gibson began the evening quietly in the lounge of his hotel, the Red Lion Inn, in Modesto, California. But he later accompanied two waitresses to a restaurant where the real fun started. 'Mel leered at a girl saying, “Darling I just love your shoes”,' an eyewitness claimed.

'When the girl politely thanked him, Mel replied, “No you don't understand. I really love your shoes. I have what you would call a foot fetish.” The next thing you know, Mel got down on his knees and removed the girl's shoe. He then held it up to his nose and moaned, “Ahh, the scent of it”.'

But "Mel’s no racist", claims his friend Patrick Swayze, , who has had his own problems with alcohol.
