Israel tried to kill bin Laden in 1996

Yahoo news reports that Israel's Mossad tried to assassinate bin Laden in 1996 but the plan fell apart over a political dispute....

Mossad recruited a woman close to bin Laden to implement the mission but it was aborted because of a breakdown of ties between Israel and her country..

How unfortunate!
