Andrea Bronfman killed in NYC accident
Andrea Bronfman, wife of former Seagrams chairman Charles Bronfman, was killed Monday in a traffic accident.
Bronfman, 60, was hit by a car and died of her injuries, the Andrea and Charles Philanthropies organization said in a news release. "It's a tragic catastrophe," said Irving Abella, a close friend of the Bronfmans and head of Jewish studies at York University in Toronto. "She and her husband have done so much not only for Jews and Israel, but for Canada.
They've funded a whole variety of cultural and academic endeavours." My condolences...
